FREDDIE GIBBS x MADLIB x GUNS..LOTS OF GUNS “THUGGIN”

A couple nights ago, I had a nightmare that Freddie Gibbs robbed and killed me.

The next day, I saw this video, and realized why.

Funny story:

Illogic and I had a show with Gibbs last Spring, afterI interviewed him for Citybeat a month earlier. Gibbs and I were sitting right next to each other at the Merch Table. Illogic told me I should introduce myself and tell him that I had just interviewed him a few weeks back. Since we just rocked a pretty big show with him, I though “Ok, cool, I can do that.”

So I introduced myself to him. And then he looked at me the same way he looks at the camera in this video. Then I went back to my seat. So that was that.

The Weeknd “The Knowing” Official Video

Why do I love this so much? Shit. Of all the fan-made super-high quality videos made for Weeknd songs, dude really went left-of-center with this video. I’m going to have to watch it so many more times to catch everything in it. But it’s so unique. I love watching artists do things like this. Just awesome. Fuckin’ awesome.

LxE for the Uncool “Monsters Are Due…” Free Download + “OG Champion Hoodie” Video

The homie LxE for the Uncool has re-released his super-slept on EP “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” (with a bonus song “Dragon Sea”, that I actually recorded and mixed a couple days ago).

He rocked a few of these songs religiously on tour this past Spring. My favorite song from our group set was actually the joint “Monster”, which you find on the download here.

To help celebrate, he also drops a video for the jump-off “OG Champion Hoodie”.

His Full-Length follow-up will be out this Winter.

Reggie B “The Celeste” Video

Reggie B is a really talented singer out of Kansas City. He works with lots of musicians and artists that I really respect and dig. But even if he didn’t, I still jam this shit. Case in point, he’ll be handling hook duties on the official single to my upcoming EP, entitled “Silhouette”.  I met Reggie B a few years ago by way of the homie Approach. 3 years later, all these dude’s have influenced me musically and feel like extended family.

But it’s not really enough just to watch this video, it makes much more sense to hit Reggie’s Bandcamp Page as well.
