A couple months ago, we dropped the video to “Gone”. This video garnered us a lot of awesome responses, some from friends & family, some from new listeners. Recently, our friends at VEVO (sort-of like an MTV/VH1 for online music video) decided to pick up the video, which was pretty awesome.
Even more awesome, today they will be featuring “Gone” on their primary playlist, meaning “Gone” will be in digital rotation (if you will) with artists like Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and all the other huge names I currently have little business staring eye to eye with.
If you’re reading this, I’m sure you’ve already seen the video. But I figure I’d write this to ask all my friends & fam who dug it to share this with your friends & fam. If you’ve watched already, you’re most likely a music fan who actively searches for new music and sounds. However, VEVO is directed more toward the casual listener. The ‘average’ music listener doesn’t necessarily seek out new music, they wait until it’s brought to them. Which is totally cool. This is my and (hopefully) your opportunity to turn your casual-listener-friends onto the video.
